A CAR left the road between Clackmannanshire and Stirling yesterday evening.

Police and ambulance crews were at Blackgrange Roundabout on the A907 Alloa Road on Wednesday, January 23, evening after the vehicle ended up in a ditch.

They were alerted to a “Vauxhall Corsa in a field” at around 5.30pm and it is understood that the driver only required a check at the scene by paramedics.

Recovery has since been arranged for the vehicle, which could be seen near the roundabout the following morning.

The incident occurred while a yellow weather warning for ice was issued by the Met Office.

The chilly weather is expected to extend into next week with some sub-zero temperatures again expected from Monday.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman told the Advertiser: “Officers were called to Blackgrange Roundabout on the A907 near Tullibody around 5.30pm on Wednesday, January 23, following a report of a Vauxhall Corsa in a field.

“The female driver in her forties was checked at the scene by the Scottish Ambulance Service, and recovery was arranged for the vehicle.”
