WITNESSES are being sought following a road traffic incident on the road between Menstrie and Blairlogie yesterday evening (Thursday, February 14).
Police say a yellow Ford Ranger collided with the rear of another vehicle, “then reversed and thereafter accelerated, at speed, away from the scene”.
Officers looking to trace the driver are appealing to anyone who may have seen the incident on Hillfoots Road to get in touch.
The collision happened around 6.45pm on the evening in question, along the road somewhere between the Clacks village and Blairlogie.
According to police, the yellow Ford Ranger collided with a vehicle that was travelling behind a slow-moving tractor.
A social media statement from the Forth Valley Police Division said: “We are appealing for witnesses after a road collision occurred about 6.45pm tonight (14/02/19) on Hillfoots Road between Menstrie and Blairlogie.
“A yellow Ford Ranger collided with the rear of another vehicle which had been driving behind a slow-moving tractor.
“The Ford Ranger then reversed and thereafter accelerated at speed away from the scene.
“Anyone with info please phone 101 quoting ref 3426.”
