A WOMAN had to be rushed to hospital following a road traffic incident in a Hillfoots town today.
The High Street and Arthur Bett Court area of Tillicoultry has been closed off on Monday, February 18, following the incident in the afternoon.
Police confirmed a female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and has since been taken to hospital – the severity of her injuries remain unconfirmed at this time.
Witnesses contacting the Advertiser say there is heavy emergency services presence in the area, which has been taped off.
It is understood traffic and buses are being redirected to allow investigations to take place.
Police Scotland spokeswoman told the Advertiser that officers were called at around 2.40pm by the ambulance service and that a woman was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital.
Further updates are expected on Tuesday.
