A MAN who knocked down a pedestrian before driving away from the scene has been given a supervision order.
Steve Kotlarz mounted the pavement and hit another man on Abbeycraig Road, Sauchie, on October 11, 2017 after driving carelessly.
He appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court last Thursday, April 18, for sentencing following the incident.
The 43-year-old’s charges state that on the above date and location, the accused drove carelessly, fail to keep the car under control and cause it to mount the pavement and collide with the complainer.
Kotlarz then drove away from the scene without exchanging details or checking on the injured man. It was also transpired that the accused did not have insurance on the vehicle.
Sheriff David Mackie ordered Kotlarz, of Fairfield School Court, to undergo supervision for a period of 12 months. Nine points were also added to his licence.
