A WOMAN who ditched a 22-year career in quarrying to create her own skincare brand had her products voted as the best by consumers on a BBC TV show.

Wilma Collier, from Powmill, retrained as a cosmetic formulator and founded Auryanna Organics Skincare in 2017.

She now handcrafts natural beauty products including oils, serums and massage candles – all made from her home.

The 43-year-old businesswoman was invited to put her products to the test on the BBC’s The Customer Is Always Right, which aired on May 1.

Incredibly, she came out on top with her products voted as the best by consumers.

Speaking about the result, Wilma said: “Being on The Customer Is Always Right gave me a clear view of what consumers think and feel about my products.

“For a young brand like mine, it was a great experience and I’m delighted to be one of the first winners on the new show.

“I learned a huge amount and feel excited about using the feedback to continue to develop my range to make great skincare second nature.”
