HUNDREDS of pounds were raised to develop the outdoor space at a Tullibody school last week, thanks to a great turnout from families.

Children and adults alike last Friday, May 31, enjoyed the various activities on offer at Banchory Primary School’s Family Fun Day.

There was much going on with stalls, food, games, a disco, raffles, hampers, inflatable gladiator fight attraction, face painting and much more.

Even staff joined in the fun, like deputy head David Kerr, who said: “It was a huge success under the circumstances with the weather, but it didn’t put anybody off.”

He hailed a “really good turnout” with “big smiles despite the weather”, adding: “We had lots of nice stalls, face painting and a popular tombola.

“Also, we had a petting zoo where the children had the opportunity to get their pictures with a local reptile family, which was very successful and popular.”

Altogether, £520 was raised which will go toward the development of the outdoor spaces for the pupils.

Giving a nod of appreciation, Mr Kerr said: “A huge-big thank you to everyone, our fundraising team for organising and our school community for once again supporting the school with all that they can do.”
