A REPORT has been published following a public meeting in Alloa last month to generate ideas and garner support for a rail link to Dunfermline.
The meeting was organised by local John ‘Chick’ Hosie for Green MSP Mark Ruskell and was held at Alloa Town Hall on May 20, as reported at the time.
Those who had attended gave their views on how reinstating passenger services toward Fife would improve their daily lives - visit bit.ly/31ocxlN to see the full list.
It included better employment and learning opportunities, hopes for less cars on the roads and better access to.
Concerns regarding noise were raised, especially by Clackmannan residents, who would like to see a station or halt at the town to make it worthwhile. More joined up timetables would also be desirable.
