THE Wee County’s volleyball club, the Clackers, played an international challenge match recently when an Indian side rolled into town.
The Flying Spikers made the trip to Clackmannanshire and took part in the match which was held at Alva Academy in what proved to be a fantastic spectacle for everyone involved.
Sadly for the home side, however, the visitors came out on top after some some thrilling hard fought games, and although it was billed as a friendly match with plenty of fun along the way, nobody was giving away points easily.
The visitors edged away slightly and went home with a well-deserved but narrow victory.
The Clackers is a team made up of international players too, with current members coming from Scotland, England, Poland, Germany and Spain and amazingly in the past another eight countries.
New players are always made welcome on Monday nights from 8pm at Alva Academy.
