A CHEF at an Alloa care home has been awarded for her outstanding service at a prestigious ceremony.

Lorraine Ashbridge of Marchglen Care Home won Chef of the Year, sponsored by Brake Bros Ltd, for being an extremely passionate chef and a leader in her field, demonstrating culinary craftsmanship; with attention to detail and technical prowess in delivering and producing high quality food and drinks.

The award was announced by one of the original professional dancers on Strictly Come Dancing; producer and entertainer, Brendan Cole, at a gala ceremony on June 14 at the Heythrop Park Resort, Oxfordshire.

Caring Homes Group is celebrating its 25th year in the care sector and was founded in 1994 by Helena Jeffery and her son Paul, on an aspiration to provide a caring home for each resident and better quality, care and support.

The company is still family-run and has proudly been the winner of many industry and regional awards over the years.
