THE Skool's Out Fun Day organised by Clackmannan Community Council went down well with locals last weekend.

The event was held at the local primary school grounds on Saturday, June 29, and featured a huge range of activities for everyone who stopped by.

Youngsters could jump on a bouncy castle, ride on a fixed bike that blended smoothies, get their face painted and much more.

There was also food and drink on the go, and a dog show organised by Clackmannan Development Trust (CDT) which was popular too.

Attendees turned out in decent numbers, and enjoyed some nice weather throughout the event - which finished around an hour before the rain started.

The Fun Day was led by the local community council, which aimed to throw an event for the town's kids that wouldn't cost parents a fortune.

After it had finished, the group said on social media that the event had resulted in a "fab day," and thanked all the volunteers who gave up their time to help out.

They were assisted by a number of local organisations who came along to help make the event such a success.

Lesley Shaw, a development officer with CDT, told the Advertiser: "I think what really made the Fun Day special was that it was led by the community council, but that all the other community groups came together and helped out."
