SOME of the UK’s best young dancers will visit Stirling later this month to showcase their extraordinary skills at the Macrobert Arts Centre.

The annual Project Y tour will be stopping by on Thursday, July 25, and will feature the country’s top contemporary dancers following their completion on the intensive Project Y Performance Course.

YDance established Project Y in 2006 as the only intensive contemporary dance and performance programme of its kind for 16 to 21-year-olds.

Each year, they take on 25 dancers following a rigorous audition process – with those chosen then forming the Project Y Company.

Dancers then spend four-weeks over the summer working with different choreographers to create new dance works which are then performed across the country.

The 2019 company will work with acclaimed choreographers Tony Adigun, Christine Devaney, Rosie Kay and Thomas Small to create an exhilarating line-up of new work.

Tickets for the upcoming performance in Stirling are priced at £7.50 (£5.50 concession), and are on sale at the Macrobert Box Office on 01786 466666.

Alternatively, tickets can be purchased online or in person.
