Alloa Amateur Swimming Club hosted their annual Club Championships last month before handing out medals at their yearly award ceremony.

On June 22, the young athletes and their families packed into the Sauchie Hall after watching the championships. Over 40 swimmers took part with an age range of 6-19 years.

Every swimmer was awarded a medal while the Swimmer of the Year awards were given to Victoria Lewinska, Shona Whyte and Andrew MacKenzie in their respective categories.

The club committee wished to thank all of the swimmers, coaches, parents and supporters who made a fantastic event.

A spokesperson from the club said: “New members to the club are always welcome, so if you can swim a length of each stroke please contact the club secretary via our website at www.alloa-asc.co.uk to arrange a free trial at Alloa Leisure Bowl.
