TWO former Bond girls will host a show themed around Agent 007.

Q The Music, a “James Bond tribute band, concert and orchestra show”, is at Madehurst Cricket Club, Arundel, tomorrow.

Later in the year, on November 9, it returns to Sussex for a performance at the Hawth Theatre, Crawley.

Tomorrow’s show will be hosted by Sussex-born actress Madeline Smith, who played Italian agent Miss Caruso.

She appears in bed with Roger Moore’s Bond at the beginning of the 1973 film Live And Let Die.

Madeline became the first Bond girl of the Roger Moore era.

The actress, who is now 69, also starred in the popular comedy film Carry On Matron.

Meanwhile in November, in Crawley, one of the actresses who portrayed the legendary Miss Moneypenny will host proceedings.

Caroline Bliss played Miss Moneypenny in 1987’s The Living Daylights and 1989’s Licence To Kill.

Caroline starred alongside Timothy Dalton in his only two Bond Movies.

She replaced the long-standing Lois Maxwell in the famous on-screen role and became the youngest actress to play Miss Moneypenny.

Founded by Warren Ringham in 2004, Q The Music is a show that Bond lovers flock to.

The concept is to “take the amazing music of 007 and reproduce it with a mini orchestra line-up, that provides financial, spatial, and logistical sense,  but yet doesn’t compromise on the sound of the original songs”.

The show will feature well-known songs from classic Bond films such as Goldfinger, Diamonds Are Forever, Skyfall, Thunderball, Live And Let Die, Goldeneye and Licence To Kill among others.

James Bond has been a film icon since he first hit the big screen in 1962 with Dr No – with Sean Connery playing Agent 007.

Sean appeared in five Bond films before George Lazenby took over for 1969’s On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. George lasted just one film before Sean was called back for Diamonds Are Forever in 1971.

Roger Moore took up the role between 1973 and 1985, before Timothy Dalton’s two starring appearances.

From 1995 to 2002 Pierce Brosnan appeared in four Bond Films.

And the role has been played by Daniel Craig since 2006’s Casino Royale.
