THE 163rd Famous Alva Games took place on Saturday, July 13.
Athletes and spectators travelled from all over the country for 27 running, cycling, dance and heavyweight events at the Johnstone Park.
The games committee were delighted to host the 3,200m Scottish Cycling Championship while the Ochils once again provided the perfect platform for British Championship Hill Races.
Athlete of the day was Simon Bailey of Mercia, while Kyle McFarlane of Pitreavie was named the best junior athlete of the weekend.
Charles Fletcher of Grantown collected the most points in cycling events while Tullibody’s Euan Smith, who competes with Central AC, took the trophy for best local once again.
