A MAN who allegedly assaulted a baby boy to his severe injury will go on trial before a jury later this year.
The 25-year-old accused pleaded not guilty to the single offence during a first diet at Stirling Sheriff Court on Wednesday, July 10.
According to the indictment, he severely injured the child - then aged four months old - by means unknown, at an address in Clackmannanshire on September 13, 2017.
A trial date was fixed for September 10, and sheriff Simon Collins QC allowed the accused, of Cultenhove Crescent in Grangemouth, to remain on bail until that date.
