WEE COUNTY youngsters enjoyed some fun and games last week, when the playtalkread bus stopped by the Sterling Mills shopping outlet in Tilly.

The bus arrived on Thursday, August 8, and was kept busy by a steady stream of little ones and their families throughout the day.

The Clacks visit was just one of a number of stops across Scotland, as the playtalkread roadshow travels around the country providing free fun for parents, carers and their little ones too.

It gives people ideas for daily activities they can try with their youngsters – and the bus itself is packed with free activities for people to try.

The roadshow was expanded and upgraded earlier this year, after the number of visitors it received increased by almost a third last year.

Speaking about how valuable the roadshow is, Maree Todd MSP and minister for young people, said: "The playtalkread roadshow offers vital support to families across Scotland.

"I hear time and again about the positive impact the roadshow is having on families, and how important the support and advice on development and play can be."
