SAUCHIE Active8 held a successful gala day at the weekend as members of the local area came out to join in the festivities.

The ever-popular event took place on Saturday, August 24, at Mar Place and featured a tonne of activities for children and adults both to enjoy.

The local community were also out in force to enjoy the parade which marched round a sun-kissed Sauchie while everyone enjoyed themselves.

For the little ones, there was a plethora of activities to choose from, including a bouncy castle, bungee trampoline, mini roundabouts and a mini farm.

There was also a host of different types of entertainment on offer, including highland dancers, Brazilian music and the parade with a pipe band.

A police and fire service presence was also welcomed as locals enjoyed talking the officers.

Not stopping there, however, there was also a tombola which sold out within hours, as well as a bonny baby competition and a fancy dress competition which provided an injection of colour into proceedings.
