A MAN will appear in court this week charged with the armed robbery at Orlandi's ice-cream shop in Alloa.
The 24-year-old was arrested and charged after police launched a manhunt on Monday.
Officers said a suspect had entered the shop on Sunnyside Court armed with a small black handgun, before making off with a quantity of cash.
He is set to appear in Alloa Sheriff Court tomorrow.
A statement from Police Scotland read: "We have charged a 24-year-old man in connection with an armed robbery at Sunnyside Court in Alloa on Monday the 26th of August.
"The man will appear at Alloa Sheriff Court on August 30.
"Investigating officers would like to thank the public for their assistance during their enquiries."
