A GROUP of care-experienced youngsters from Clacks sat down with the first minister during a trip to the Scottish Parliament last week.
Members of Oor Clacks Voices were hosted at the venue by elected representatives Keith Brown MSP and Clacks council leader Ellen Forson on September 5.
The group works to make positive changes to the care system, and after being welcomed to the parliament they were given tickets for First Minister's Questions.
They also received a tour of the building's private areas, were treated to lunch, and then had a discussion about care policy with Nicola Sturgeon.
Morag Cantwell, from Who Cares? Scotland, who support Oor Clacks Voices, said: "We all had an amazing time.
"The discussions with Keith and the first minister were really important to the group. They felt they were listened to and support was offered to them.
"This means a great deal to them."
Keith Brown MSP said: "I was delighted to welcome Oor Clacks Voices to Holyrood to see First Minister's Questions and to give them a tour of the building.
"It's always good when constituents have the chance to see democracy in action."
