A MAN was flown to hospital following a serious crash in the Wee County on Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency services raced to the A91 near Tillicoultry at around 3.15pm after reports of a crash between a motorbike and a Vauxhall Corsa car near a bend.

An air ambulance was subsequently called for and took the 41-year-old male motorbike driver to Ninewells Hospital, Dundee.

Also taken to hospital was the driver of the car, although his injuries were not thought to be serious.

The road was also closed for several hours as police officers, ambulance staff and firefighters worked on the scene.

The Advertiser understands there were no serious injuries and both men are expected to make a full recovery.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “Police were called at 3.15pm on Tuesday 10 September 2019 to an RTC on the A91 between Tillicoultry and Dollar involving a VX Corsa and a motorbike.

“Air ambulance in attendance and a 41-year-old man taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. No details on any further injuries at this time. Road was closed to allow the removal of vehicles involved.”
