A WEE COUNTY man is growing tired of being in and out of court, Alloa Sheriff Court heard last week.

Mark Anderson appeared for sentencing for offences he committed last November, including stealing a quantity of items from Savers, Mill Road, on November 25 and 26.

On November 25, he also uttered offensive remarks and behaved in a threatening and abusive manner towards staff.

Anderson is currently serving a 33-month sentence which he had imposed on him at Stirling Sheriff Court, with an earliest release date of April next year, although he is currently undergoing the appeals process in regards to the length of the sentence.

Kelly Howe, representing the 30-year-old, told the court that her client is studying conservation inside prison with a view to getting work when he is released.

Ms Howe added that Anderson is "becoming tired of appearing in court at his age" – and is working to become drug free.

Sheriff David Mackie sentenced Anderson, of Frederick Street, Tillicoultry, to four months' imprisonment to run concurrently with his sentence.

The accused has a litany of previous convictions, and was once described by his defence agent as being a "marked man" due to his notoriety within Clackmannanshire.

Several years ago he was jailed by Sheriff Mackie for attacking two Lidl employees when they confronted him for stealing.

As recently as 2017, Anderson breached a Risk of Sexual Harm Order (RSHO) which prevented him from contacting any female under the age of 18.

In May 2017, he admitted speaking to a 10-year-old girl in Fallin, while also pleading guilty to several thefts from stores throughout Alloa and Stirling.
