A WEE COUNTY student helped to create a stunning Wallace Monument cake to celebrate 150 years since the iconic landmark was erected.
Richard Cook, from Tillicoultry, worked with bakery business owner Heather Panther to bake the stunning sweet treat – along with fellow Forth Valley College classmates Monika Csordas and Lai Lao,
It was made as part of a challenge which aimed to test the HNC Patisserie students’ skills.
And it also featured as part of the many treats on offer during the Wallace Wha Hae monument celebrations on Saturday, September 14.
A total of 7kg of fondant icing was used in the design, and it took more than 24 hours to complete the colossal cake.
Richard said: “It was a challenge, but we got it done. I’m happy with the result.”
Heather added: “It was a brilliant few days working with a great team who had loads of enthusiasm and wanted to learn. We were all delighted with the end result."
