Staff at Yate Shopping Centre have been praised as heroes after their quick actions in using a defibrillator on an elderly lady.
An incident took place yesterday at around 1.30pm, with an elderly lady collapsing whilst shopping.
Security guards were called and within minutes they were performing CPR.

"I think they were amazing today and I know security don’t get enough credit for the jobs they do in the centre, they have saved someone’s mother, nan, sister today."
An spokesperson from South Western Ambualnce Service said: "We were called on Wednesday at 1.42pm about a medical incident in Yate Shopping Centre.
"Our crews treated a female patient at the scene, and transported her by land ambulance to hospital for further care."
