POLICE are on the hunt for car thieves who fished keys through the letterbox of a house in Clacks this month.
The incident took place in Alloa between Saturday and Sunday, September 14-15.
While the care was since recover, residents are being reminded to keep valuables out of sight and reach.
A memo sent to Neighbourhood Watch Scotland read: "A car was stolen from the Alloa Park area to the rear of Morrisons.
"It is believed that the car keys were fished through the letterbox by the thieves who made off in the car.
"The car has since been recovered."
A spokesperson for Police Scotland told the Advertiser: "Police in Alloa are investigating the theft of a motor vehicle from the Alloa Park area.
"Officers are following a positive line of enquiry."
