A RENOWNED artist will be tutoring aspiring artists at Alloa Art Club later this month.

Greer Ralston, whose work is featured in castles and galleries all over Scotland, will host a workshop where she will pass on her expertise to budding artists.

She has painted figures in the past and once had actress and former Bond girl Honor Blackman bidding at a charity auction to be painted by Greer.

The artist has turned her focus to large scale flower paintings, which has evolved into an innovative relationship with animal works.

Greer will give a workshop on “Picturing Your Pet” and will give a brief talk and demonstration on how to start with focusing on proportions and how to render things such as hair texture.

The session is open to all adults, but prior booking is required by members and others.

Alloa Art Club welcomes beginners and experienced artists.

Participants are asked to bring, if possible, large sheets of paper, materials they wish to paint with, and a picture of their pet.

The club can provide materials for those who need it.

Tickets are priced at £5 and the workshop will begin at 7.30pm on Monday, October 14, at Resonate Arts House on North Castle Street, Alloa.
