A TULLIBODY man has been given unpaid work after admitting crashing into another car while driving under the influence of drugs.
Jason Scott collided into another vehicle on Clackmannan Road on April 11 after taking drugs and driving dangerously.
Alloa Sheriff Court heard last Thursday from Kelly Howe, Scott's defence agent, that he had made "bad decisions" on his part by taking "prescription drugs".
Ms Howe said: "The offence is not lost on him; he has genuine regret.
"It has had an impact on his mental health and he had lost his employment. They serve as reminders of his bad decisions."
Since the incident, which took place in the middle of the afternoon, the 40-year-old has referred himself to the Forth Valley substance misuse service.
Sheriff David Mackie sentenced Scott, of Talisker, Tullibody, to a community payback order with a requirement to carry out 180 hours of unpaid work and 12 months of supervision.
He will also be disqualified from driving for a period of 12 months.
