A PENSIONER will go on trial next year after pleading not guilty to drink driving in the middle of the day.

The 75-year-old is also accused of refusing to give police officers the name of the registered owner of the car when asked to do so on September 11 this year.

The charges against the man allege that on the aforementioned date at Dunmar Crescent, Alloa, he drove a car while almost four times drink-driving limit.

According to the charge, he had 86mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, when the limit is 22mcg.

An intermediate will take place on January 13 of next year with trial date set for January 29.
