A LOCAL woman has donated money to help ‘pay for a day’ at Maggie’s Forth Valley who support people living with cancer.

Marianne Rutz, a Swiss citizen now living in Stirling, is a cancer survivor and has donated £2,400, the cost for a day of support in the facility, so that others who are going through treatment are able to access the practical and emotional support they need.

Maggie’s Forth Valley, located in the NHS Forth Valley grounds, has qualified professionals on hand to offer an evidence-based core programme of support that has been shown to improve physical and emotional wellbeing.

The facility relies on voluntary donations to support and grow?its?network of Centres and to develop its unique, high quality programme of support.?

The charity’s?aim is to make the biggest difference?possible?to people living with cancer and?their family and friends.?

Marianne?said: “I am delighted to have been able to?have?donated to?‘pay for a day’ at Maggie’s?Forth Valley.

“I turned the walk in the wilderness after the cancer treatment into an?opportunity to serve others in my zone of genius.”
