A MAN will go on trial early next year after denying that he struck two men with a "JCB vehicle"

The 58-year-old appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court last Thursday where he tendered pleas of not guilty to three charges.

It is alleged that on September 12 of this year at Meeks Park Farm access road, Forestmill, he assaulted a male and drove the JCB at him causing it to strike his arm.

He is also accused of assaulting a second male by also driving his the vehicle at him.

A third charge alleges that he drove the JCB dangerously at the two men, causing them to take evasive action and struck one of them on the arm before crashing into a car.

The accused, of Kennet Village, denied all charges and was bailed, but with a special condition that he does not contact or attempt to contact four men, including the two allegedly assaulted in the incident.

A trial date has been set for February 4, 2020, with an intermediate diet set for January 20.
