POLICE are looking to trace the driver of a car involved in a road traffic collision in Dollar at the weekend.

Officers say a two-car crash took place on Mylne Avenue at around 2.35pm on Sunday, November 17.

However, the driver of one vehicle – a silver sports car – failed to stop at the scene after the incident.

The other car, a red Vauxhall Corsa, was badly damaged as a result.

The 66-year-old female driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital for treatment.

Police are keen to trace the driver of the silver sports car in connection with the incident.

The car is described as being modified with a spoiler, a large exhaust and lowered to the ground.

Officers say the vehicle would have noticeably damaged as a result of the accident and was dirty.

Sergeant Neill Drummond, of Alloa Police Station, said: "This incident has left the woman involved very shaken and we are keen to trace the driver of the silver sports car as soon as possible.

"If you were in the area around the time of the crash and saw anything or have dashcam or CCTV footage of the incident I would urge to contact us.

"Equally, please get in touch if you have any information on the whereabouts of the silver sports car now."
