A CHANCE to meet Santa along with an array of stalls brought people together at a Wee County church last weekend.

The annual Christmas Fayre at Sauchie and Coalsnaughton Parish Church took place on Saturday, November 16, between 10am and 1pm and saw a brilliant atmosphere.

There were smiles all around with Santa and his elves waiting to hear children’s wishes for this year in his grotto and with hot drinks on offer to combat the cold wintry weather.

Stalls offered a variety of goods, including crafts, a range of soft and other toys, a huge number of books and some puzzles, a number of gift ideas, Christmas socks, bottles, cake and candy and jewellery.

There were even tins, provisions, toiletries and more.

Many people who went along were also drawn to the Pick a Prize stall to try their luck on the day.

The large hall, which served as the venue for the fundraising event, was also decorated accordingly, sporting Christmas lights and a tree to bring a festive atmosphere to the Wee County.

The Christmas Fayre raised a whopping £1,631.33 to date with thanks going to everyone who supported the fun annual event.

Next for the congregation will be a Board and Session meeting today, Wednesday November 20, from 7.15pm in the small hall.
