TILLICOULTRY turned on its Christmas lights last weekend as a huge turnout came to begin the festive run-up.
The event was organised by Tillicoultry, Coalsnaughton and Devonside Community Council and is being supported by Tillicoultry Baptist Church, the Tilly Ladies Christmas Lights Appeal, Tilly Tearoom and the Tillycoeur Twinning Association.
A crowd gathered for a night of entertainment with music coming from the Alba Performing Arts School and the Clackmannan District Brass Band.
Santa Claus himself even managed to make an appearance to help turn on the lights.
Refreshments and home baking was provided by the Tilly Baptist Church and fresh crepes were provided by Tillycoeur Twinning Association.
For those looking for something a bit warmer the Tilly Tearoom was on hand to provide the soup.
Damien Sherwood-Johnson, chair of the community council, was thrilled with the turnout.
He said: "It was probably the biggest crowd we've had since we started. It went really well.
"There was a great atmosphere, Santa got mobbed when he arrived and got huge cheers as he helped to turn on the lights.
"We would just like to say thanks to everyone who attended and made it such a great event.
"Also a huge thanks to EDF Burnfoot Hill Community Fund for their continued support."
