FORMER Alloa Athletic man Scott Walker was in town last week to lend a help for a charitable endeavour.
The former centre half popped up at the Strathcarron Hospice charity shop on the High Street to help draw the winners in this year’s raffle.
The initiative, spearheaded by shop manager Helen McLachlan, raised £627 for the good cause, which provides care for the terminally ill.
She wanted to say thanks to the many local businesses which donated so generously for the draw, with a special mention going to Jerry’s Barber Shop on Primrose Street for the bottle of malt whisky and for selling £50 in tickets.
