A FLOOD alert covering Clacks and surrounding areas has been issued by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA).
Heavy and persistent rain is expected to hit the Wee County tonight (Friday) and throughout Saturday.
And according to SEPA: “This may lead to localised flooding from surface water, small watercourses and larger rivers, with the high flows on the larger rivers continuing into Sunday.”
The agency says that built up areas and the transport network are at risk of “significant travel disruption, flooding affecting properties, communities and key infrastructure throughout the day and into the evening”.
The flood alert will remain in place until further notice, and SEPA has advised locals to remain vigilant in the meantime.
