CHILDREN at a Tullibody school celebrated Scotland’s national bard last week.

The Burns supper at Banchory Primary School took place last Friday, January 24.

There were smiles all around as the haggis was piped into the assembly with children from P1 through to P7 performing in front of peers.

It was an opportunity to learn about the legacy of Scotland’s most famous poet.

Many donned tartan and some brave pupils were on stage to showcase their recital skills.

It was a big achievement for those who were keen to stand up and perform in front of everyone else.

The afternoon of learning and celebrations also saw the young people sing songs, accompanied by guitar, performed live by a teacher.

Altogether, everyone had an excellent time with smiles all around at the Tullibody school.

Many parents also came along and the assembly hall was nearly filled to the brim.
