A YELLOW weather warning covering the Wee County and extending into next week has been issued by the Met Office.
The forecaster predicts Storm Dennis will bring “very strong winds” to the area throughout all of Sunday and Monday (February 16-17).
Locals should expect delays to road and rail transport during that period, and there is a “slight chance” of damage to buildings and power cuts.
The Met Office advises people to stay indoors a much as possible until the warning expires, and to take care when travelling on exposed routes such as bridges and open roads.
