A WEE COUNTY school has been handed a cheque for £1,000 from a local business after pupils dazzled employees with a musical performance.

Lochies School in Sauchie received the money from Ceteris earlier this month, and it will go towards the development of their sensory room and sensory learning resources.

Lochies came to the business’ attention after their Makaton Rocks choir performed Flower of Scotland at the France v Scotland match at Murrayfield last summer.

A Ceteris employee whose son attends the school showed his colleagues a video of the performance.

They were so impressed they invited the choir to perform at their Christmas party.

And to say a big thank you for their performance, Ceteris decided to donate the money to the school.

Stuart McCusker, the company’s marketing executive, stopped by and presented the cheque to school captain and choir member Jaymie Leigh Currie on Wednesday, February 5.

He was also treated to a performance of "Daydream Believer" during his visit.

Lochies is a non-denominational school for pupils aged between 3-12 who have severe and complex additional support needs.
