A KINCARDINE nursery has received a glowing report following an unannounced inspection.

The Care Inspectorate dropped in on Tulliallan Primary School Nursery last November and has just released a report, grading the quality of care and support as well as the environment "excellent", the highest score possible.

One parent in the report explained they "couldn't sing the praises of the staff enough".

The report said that the "exceptionally committed and self-reflective staff and management team were driven to ensure the highest quality outcomes for children".

There are high expectations of children's achievements at Tulliallan and staff "worked hard" to add value to the quality of learning.

Inspectors found that the children were "all highly engaged and self-sufficient".

Feedback from parents could hardly be more positive.

One quoted in the report said: "I have known all the staff within Tulliallan nursery for over three years as both of my children have been privileged enough to have gone there.

"I can honestly say that they are all fantastic with children, parents and carers.

"They are all friendly, professional and approachable.

"I could not be happier with the environment within the nursery that the staff create and I have already seen lots of positive changes in my child since he started attending an [sic.] August I couldn't sing the praises of the staff enough.

"They are excellent."

Of around 750 day care services for children inspected in the last six months in Scotland, the nursery is proud to be in an elite group of only eight that achieved only grades of "excellent".

Fife Council says this puts the nursery in the top 1 per cent in the country.

The Care Inspectorate report added: "The team had clear and appropriate plans in place to continue to embed and enhance their excellent practice."
