YOUNG wizards of the Wee County gathered recently for spellbinding a day of magic at Inglewood House.

The youngsters were draped in their finest cloaks as they gathered in Alloa to trade spells and wizarding secrets.

Inglewood House was transformed into a Harry Potter shrine as the film's landmark nine and three-quarters train platform made an appearance for the youngsters to pose with.

Gryffindor is clearly the favourite house as there are no signs of Ravenclaw, Slytherin or Hufflepuff.

All Potterheads will know Harry's owl Hedwig and a few owls were at Inglewood thanks to Owl Magic, a not-for-profit charity in Ayrshire.

David McGregor, hotel manager, was thrilled with the attendance for the hotel's sixth wizarding event.

He said: "It was very well attended by returning people from Alloa.

"Our next event will be announced on the website soon."

A magic-themed afternoon tea was on offer with baked scones, sandwiches and a selection of cakes for the young wizards and their parents and Harry Potter gift sets were given out to the best dressed wizards.

It was a great day for families to get out and have fun together and follows the hotel's Fairytale Afternoon tea.
