A LUNCH marking the end of Clacks Business Week 2020 netted a four-figure sum for an Alloa based charity.

The event at Inglewood House and Spa was the perfect occasion to wind down from a week of workshops, networking opportunities and a whole lot more which was on offer.

Nearly £2,400 was raised at the event, which will help to support therapy sessions at Scottish Autism’s New Struan School.

The business lunch was held last Friday, March 6, in partnership with Inglewood House, which has been supporting the charity for some years, and Ceteris, which organised Clacks Business Week.

It saw a number of speakers including Colin Lynch, CEO at Energy Assets Ltd, who is pictured with Inglewood House owner Ewan Campbell, Ceteris managing director Gary Wilson and Scottish Autism chief executive Dorry McLaughlin.

Karen Wilson, fundraising manager at Scottish Autism, said: “We strive to provide a flexible and personalised approach to the autistic learners in our school, enabling each of our pupils to reach their full potential.

"The pupils at New Struan School take part in Rebound Therapy, music therapy, drama sessions and animation workshops with trained specialists.

"The benefits of these sessions are evident through their increased confidence, enjoyment and engagement in these wonderful opportunities.

"We need to raise £30,000 annually to keep providing these activities."
