BUSINESS owners in the Wee County can receive advice and guidance relating to the coronavirus through a Scottish Government helpline.

The Covid-19 Business Helpline is live with a dedicated team to answer questions and gauge the current challenges facing businesses.

Business owners can call 0300 303 0660 between 8.30am and 5.30pm, Mondays to Fridays, and select option one to speak to the team.

Business Gateway has also pulled together useful information on what support is available.

This includes details on a £320million funding package to support businesses struggling with what is now a pandemic, as well as a range of other measures.

There will be a 75 per cent rates relief for retail, hospitality and leisure sectors with a rateable value of less than £69,000 from April 1.

A £80m fund will be in place to provide grants of at least £3,000 to small businesses worst affected.

There will be a 1.6 per cent rates relief for all properties and a fixed rates relief of up to £5,000 for all pubs with a rateable value of lass than £100,000 from April 1.
