FREE school meals are being distributed in the Wee County from today on temporary arrangements for children who receive certain benefits.

From today (Wednesday, March 25) "grab bag" lunches will be distributed in Clackmannanshire from vans outside various schools across the county.

It is for children who do not have a place at one of recently created childcare hubs, but are in receipt of clothing and footwear grants.

Four vans will be out today, people are being reminded to adhere to social distancing principles and stay two meters away from others, go straight home afterwards and wash hands thoroughly.

According to information from Clackmannanshire Council, the places and times are outlined below:

Fishcross Primary School - 11am to 11.20am.

Craigbank Primary School – 11.30am to 11.50am.

Deerpark Primary School - 12noon to 12.20pm.

Clackmannan Primary School – 12.45pm to 1.10pm.

Tullibody South Campus - 11am to 11.20am.

Redwell Primary School – 11.30am to 11.50am.

Sunnyside Primary School 12noon to 12.20pm.

Alva Primary School - 11am to 11.20am.

Menstrie Primary School – 11.30am to 11.50am.

St Serfs Primary School – 12.10pm to 12.30pm

Banchory Primary School – 12.45pm to 1.10pm.

Strathdevon Primary School - 11am to 11.20am.

Tillicoultry Primary School – 11.30am to 11.50am.

Coalsnaughton Primary School – 12.10pm to 12.30pm

Park Primary School (including St Mungos RC Primary) – 12.45pm to 1.10pm.

Children of key workers who have been placed at one of the childcare hubs are receiving free meals there.
