A MAN has been charged with GBH - wounding with intent after being arrested in Gloucester Street in Stroud.

Police were called shortly after 8.05pm on Wednesday, March 25 following reports that a man had been injured.

The man was initially taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol before being transferred to Bristol Royal Infirmary.

He has since been discharged.

Robert Kendrick, 35, of Gloucester Street, was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent in connection with the incident and has since been charged. 

He will appear at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court.

It is believed that the two men are known to each other and no-one else was involved in the incident.
