EAST Renfrewshire's Citizens Advice Bureau is continuing to offer a range of support, despite having to shut its doors as a result of the coronavirus crisis.

Staff are keen to hear from anyone who has worries about the likes of benefits, debt or other household issues.

Teresa O’Hara, bureau manager, has stressed that, although the office in Barrhead's Main Street has been closed since March 18, her team are waiting by their phones to lend a hand.

She said: "We have 15 specialist advisors working from home. They have remote access to our information systems and are equipped to undertake all levels of casework.

"They are happy to continue to help the community of East Renfrewshire."

If you need advice to help you navigate your way through these exceptional times or just need confirmation you’re doing the right thing, just pick up your phone.

Anyone with a query about Universal Credit should call John on 0738 862 8543, Mark Richmond on 0755 246 6506 or Helen on 0739 596 5393, while questions about housing can be directed to Angela by calling 0739 594 1203.
