RESIDENTS in Clacks and Stirling have been thanked by the area's police force for following social distancing measures and staying out of parks during the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
A Facebook post published on Forth Valley Police Division's page on Thursday, April 2, said officers were "delighted" with the efforts from locals to stay indoors unless absolutely necessary.
The post read: "Local cops in Stirling and Alloa visited parks in their area to engage with the public in relation to the government guidelines on social distancing.
"When they got there, they were delighted to see the parks were empty and that the residents of Stirling and Alloa are doing their bit to protect the NHS and staying home.
"We want to thank our local communities for doing their bit and for their continued support."
Many people thanked the police force in response, praising the work of officers during the lockdown.
Margaret MacMillan said: "They are doing a good job in these uncertain times.
"They are just as worried about their families as everyone else is."
And Yvonne Taylor said: "You are all doing a great job."
