LESS than 30 people have died with coronavirus (Covid-19) in Forth Valley.
According to latest figures from the National Records of Scotland, 27 people in the area had passed away with the virus as of Sunday, April 5.
That represents the fourth greatest number of deaths out of Scotland’s 14 Health Boards.
Greater Glasgow and Clyde (122), Lanarkshire (48), and Lothian (41) Health Boards all recorder more deaths involving Covid-19.
In total, 354 people have died in Scotland and had a reference to the virus in their death registration as of April 5.
Out of those 354 deaths, only four were linked to people aged between 15-44.
The rest were linked to those aged between 45-85+.
The number of deaths involving Covid-19 mentioned in the National Records of Scotland report is different from the number of deaths published daily on the Scottish Government website.
This is because the latter is based on deaths of those who have tested positive for Covid-19, whereas the report’s figures include all deaths where Covid-19 (included suspected cases) was mentioned on the death certificate.
