A WEE COUNTY charity will receive more than £90,000 over the next three years to help continue its incredible work.

Home Start Clackmannanshire will receive a total of £91,300 from the The Henry Smith Charity, which provides grants for small and medium sized charities, social enterprises and not-for-profit groups.

Home Start has been helping families in Clackmannanshire, with young children, deal with the challenges they face for more than 30 years.

The group's volunteers support parents as they learn to cope, build their confidence, and create better lives for their children.

Shelley Bowman, operations manager, said: "We are particularly delighted to receive this amazing award at such a difficult time for everyone: for our families just trying to get through the day to do the best for their children and also our essential workers who continue to offer such a valuable service.

"Knowing The Henry Smith Charity has such faith in our work to support us for the next three years really gives us a boost as we continue to do what we can for local communities across Clackmannanshire."
