Police are trying to find the identity of a man who was rescued from the water in Strathclyde Park.
The man is in a critical condition after he was rescued in the Goose Beach area of the park around 3.25pm on Monday.
Police say he appeared to have been sunbathing on his own in the area before entering the water and getting into difficulty.
The man was assisted by members of the public before emergency services attended.
He was taken to Wishaw General Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
A force spokesman said: "Police Scotland has not received any reports of a missing person matching the man's description and he remains unidentified.
"He is described as being in his late 40s or early 50s, 5ft 9in tall and of slim build with medium length brown hair which is greying.
"He has a tattoo of a small cross on left arm with three dots above it.
"At the time he was wearing a grey zipper, a navy top, navy swim shorts and dark trainers and was in possession of a Tesco shopping bag.
"Anyone with information which could help identify the man is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident 2284 of Monday, 1 June, 2020."
