HEROIN has been seized and a woman charged after police executed a drugs warrant in Stirling.

Forth Valley Police Division discovered a quantity of the class A drug, with a street value of £3,800, after searching a property in Cornton, Stirling, on June 3.

A 31-year-old woman has been arrested and charged with drug offences in connection with the find, and was due to appear at Stirling Sheriff Court on Thursday, June 4.

Stirling area commander, Chief Inspector Gill Marshall, praised members of the public for providing their assistance.

He said: "We are committed to tackling drug dealing in our communities.

“I would like to thank the public for their assistance in providing us with information and give them reassurance that we will continue to work with our communities and act on the vital information they provide.
