ABANDONED rubbish in an East End scheme has been cleared, thanks to the Glasgow Times.
We told last week of how concerned locals feared fly-tipping in Ferness Road outside a disused home was proving a breeding ground for vermin.
The issue had been raised by families with developers Home Group, who are carrying out work in the area, a number of times without success.

But, after we reported of their fears in last week’s East End page, the rubbish was cleared that very same day.
Donna Wilson, 54, who approached the Glasgow Times for help, said it was a “huge relief” to see the trash had been removed.
She said: “The site has been busy all morning.
“Thank you so much. I can sleep better at night now.
“Your report certainly got it moving.”
